Group transportation can be easy to overlook when it comes to school field trip planning. Use a charter bus service to transport those who attend so they get the most out of the experience.
Get a Head Count
Renting a charter bus will be much easier if you know how many people you need to transport. Most charter bus services offer buses with 38 to 56 seats. Once you have a final head count, you’ll be able to determine what you need. You don’t want to pack too many people into a bus or rent a bus with too many seats, so make sure to double-check your numbers before you make the reservation.
Make an Itinerary
Proper planning is essential to a successful school outing. Make the event go more smoothly by making a conference itinerary in advance. This way you will know how often you need to use the tour bus rental, and what its destinations will be. Print out a copy of the itinerary for the adult leaders so they know ahead of time what to expect from the trip.
Utilize the Time on the Bus
Whether you do icebreakers, pass out important information, or show videos, you should utilize the time on the charter bus. Keeping the children occupied or entertained while on the bus will help to make for a more pleasant experience.
